Projects

A project is an app on your computer that is set up for LaraKube.

The New project page

Start a new project

  1. Open Projects → New project.
  2. Pick a framework on the left. Filter by CMS, Full Stack, Frontend or Docs, or search.
  3. Fill in the card on the right. The questions come from the LaraKube CLI and differ per framework (the app name and your email for the site's SSL certificate, then choices such as database, template or content storage), with the rarer ones under Advanced options. Then choose the folder to create it in.

The list of frameworks and their questions is read from larakube new:frameworks, so updating the CLI from Setup is how new frameworks and options appear here. 4. For Laravel, choose the frontend stack and the database. 5. Press Create project.

The app is created inside a container, so you do not need PHP or Node on your computer. The first one takes a few minutes while the container images download.

Add an existing app

Open a folder you already have and Desktop sets it up for LaraKube.

Deploying from Desktop

Deploying an app to your server from Desktop is still being built. Until then, deploy with the CLI.
